NFL Teams Tease Rivalries Uniforms Ahead of 2025 Debut

On Friday, several NFL teams turned to social media to share teaser videos in anticipation of the upcoming release of their Rivalries uniforms. Teams including the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Arizona Cardinals all posted on X, hinting at the unveiling of these special uniforms set to be revealed on August 28.
The NFL has designated the AFC East and NFC West divisions to debut the Rivalries uniforms in 2025, with plans to introduce two additional divisions each year through 2028. This initiative aims to enhance the experience surrounding NFL rivalry games and stimulate fan engagement. The games recognized as Rivalries for the 2025 season were also disclosed on Friday; the Bills will wear their Rivalries uniforms in Week 5 against the Patriots, while the Cardinals will showcase theirs in Week 4 versus the Seahawks. Additionally, the Rams announced that they will don their Rivalries attire when hosting the Seahawks in Week 11.
In a release from April, the NFL outlined the Rivalries initiative, describing its purpose as elevating key rivalry matchups and fostering connections with fans. The Rivalries uniforms will reportedly draw significant inspiration from local community elements and the history of each respective market. As the revelation approaches, mystery still surrounds the specific designs of the uniforms, although recent social media posts suggest a winter theme for the Bills, a water theme for the Patriots, and a desert theme for the Cardinals. Notably, the reveal date coincides precisely one week before the kickoff of the 2025 NFL regular season, featuring a match between the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys on September 4.
