NFL Teams Tease New Rivalries Uniforms Ahead of 2025 Season

On Friday, multiple NFL teams took to social media to share teaser videos highlighting the impending release of their Rivalries uniforms, set to debut in 2025. Teams including the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Arizona Cardinals published posts on X, generating excitement for the unveiling scheduled on August 28.
The NFL has selected the AFC East and NFC West divisions to introduce these special Rivalries uniforms, with plans for two additional divisions to be included each year until 2028. Alongside this announcement, several key matchups designated as Rivalries games for the 2025 regular season were revealed. The Bills will showcase their Rivalries uniforms against the Patriots in Week 5, while the Cardinals will wear theirs in Week 4 when they face the Seahawks; the Rams will also don their Rivalries attire in Week 11 during a home game against the Seahawks. Each team from the AFC East and NFC West will wear their Rivalries uniforms once during the 2025 regular season when hosting their divisional rivals.
In April, the NFL launched the Rivalries initiative, designed to enhance NFL rivalry games and boost fan engagement. According to the official press release, the uniforms will be deeply rooted in local community insights, drawing inspiration from the rich history and unique elements of each market. As the release date approaches, anticipation grows, with early social media posts suggesting design themes for each team, including a winter motif for the Bills, a water theme for the Patriots, and a desert influence for the Cardinals. Notably, the August 28 release date coincides with the countdown to the commencement of the 2025 NFL regular season, which will kick off when the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys on September 4.
