Guide to Odds

Moneyline offers the ability to create picks from the 3 main odd types of spread, total, and moneyline across all sports and games.

Spread

Point spread betting is the most common way to wager on football. The favored team will have a minus (-) next to its point spread and must win by more points than the spread to win the bet. The underdog team will have a plus (+) next to its point spread and must win outright or lose by fewer points than the spread to win the bet.

A point spread, or simply “the spread”, is a sports betting number made by oddsmakers at sportsbooks that serves as a handicap between two opponents. Because not all teams are equal in skill, oddsmakers use spread betting to level the playing field. Learn more with our Betting FAQs.
