Joe Burrow Comments on Bengals Primetime Challenges Against Ravens

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow expressed dissatisfaction regarding his team's consecutive primetime matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, marking the fourth straight year the two AFC North rivals face off in this high-visibility scenario. Following Tuesday's voluntary workout, Burrow remarked, 'Playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight prime-time year isn't ideal.' He also expressed a desire for a change in schedule, hinting at the possibility of hosting a game in Cincinnati next season.
The Bengals have faced the Ravens multiple times in primetime situations in recent years. Notably, Cincinnati suffered a narrow defeat to Baltimore on October 9, 2022, when the teams clashed on Sunday Night Football, concluding the game at 19-17 in favor of the Ravens. This pattern continued on November 16, 2023, when the Bengals again fell short, losing 34-20 in a game that saw Burrow exit early due to a season-ending wrist injury. The rivalry reached a crescendo on November 7, 2024, with the Bengals narrowly losing 35-34 to the Ravens.
As they prepare for their Thanksgiving night matchup on November 27, 2025, the Bengals find themselves once again traveling to Baltimore, facing a tough challenge in an environment that has historically favored the home team in these primetime encounters. The Bengals had one primetime home game last year—a 38-33 loss to the Washington Commanders on September 23—while they also had a mix of road games, including notable victories and narrow defeats. This year, Cincinnati has three road primetime games scheduled, against the Ravens, the Miami Dolphins, and another against the Denver Broncos. The team must navigate these hurdles with hopes of returning to playoff contention after a two-year absence.
