Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow Comments on Primetime Schedule Challenges

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow expressed his displeasure regarding the team's upcoming matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, marking the fourth consecutive season that the Bengals will play in front of a primetime audience in Baltimore. Burrow stated, 'Playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight prime-time year isn't ideal,' during a press conference following Tuesday's voluntary workout.
The intense rivalry between the Bengals and Ravens has seen Cincinnati struggle in these primetime encounters in recent seasons. The last primetime meeting occurred on November 16, 2023, when the Bengals faced a setback, losing 34-20, a game in which Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury. Furthermore, Cincinnati narrowly lost to Baltimore 19-17 during a Sunday Night Football game on October 9, 2022, and again fell to the Ravens 35-34 on November 7, 2024.
As the Bengals prepare for their Thanksgiving night encounter on November 27, 2025, it is evident that the scheduling has not favored Cincinnati, especially in their AFC North divisional matchups. Jake Liscow from Locked On Bengals noted that, while the Bengals had one primetime home game in the past season—a hard-fought 38-33 loss to the Washington Commanders—this year's schedule features multiple challenging road games, including outings against the Ravens and the Miami Dolphins. Despite the unfavorable scheduling, Cincinnati aims to overcome these challenges in the pursuit of a playoff return after being absent from the postseason for two consecutive years.
