Bengals Prepare for Primetime Showdown Against Ravens

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow recently expressed his dissatisfaction regarding the team's scheduling, as they prepare to face the Baltimore Ravens on the road in a primetime game for the fourth consecutive season. Following a voluntary workout, Burrow shared his thoughts, indicating a preference for more home games in such crucial time slots. He remarked, 'Playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight prime-time year isn't ideal. Maybe we can get one of those in Cincinnati next year. Please.'
The Bengals' recent history against the Ravens in primetime has been challenging. On October 9, 2022, Cincinnati fell to Baltimore 19-17 during Sunday Night Football. The following season, on November 16, 2023, Burrow was sidelined with a season-ending wrist injury early in the matchup, which resulted in a 34-20 loss for the Bengals. This year, on November 7, 2024, the Bengals narrowly lost again, 35-34. Now, on November 27, 2025, which coincides with Thanksgiving night, the Bengals find themselves once more heading to Baltimore. The recurring trend of the Bengals being visitors in these AFC North primetime matchups often favors the home team, further adding to the complexity of their situation.
In assessing their performance in recent years, it appears the Bengals have often been on the less favorable side of the primetime scheduling. In the previous season, Cincinnati had only one primetime home game, which ended in a 38-33 loss to the Washington Commanders on September 23. Additionally, the team faced four primetime road games, including a notable 17-7 victory over the New York Giants and losses to both the Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angeles Chargers. To finish the season, the Bengals secured two standalone victories in games played on Saturdays, one of which came against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Looking ahead, the Bengals' current season features three primetime road games, including matchups against the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins, alongside one home fixture against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Clearly, the Bengals have encountered a challenging schedule, and they will need to focus on overcoming these obstacles as they aim to return to the playoffs after two years away from contention.
