Cincinnati Bengals Prepare for Primetime Matchup Against Baltimore Ravens

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow expressed his concerns regarding his team's upcoming primetime game against the Baltimore Ravens, marking the fourth consecutive year that the Bengals will face their AFC North rivals in this time slot. Following a voluntary workout on Tuesday, Burrow stated, 'Playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight primetime year isn't ideal.' He hopes for a change, indicating a desire for future matchups to take place in Cincinnati.
The Bengals and Ravens have developed a competitive rivalry, with recent games reflecting the tight nature of their series. On October 9, 2022, the Bengals suffered a narrow defeat on Sunday Night Football, losing 19-17 to Baltimore. In their subsequent encounter on November 16, 2023, Cincinnati's hopes were dashed when Burrow sustained a season-ending wrist injury, contributing to a 34-20 loss to the Ravens. The following year, on November 7, 2024, the Bengals again fell short, losing a close contest 35-34. Now, as they prepare for another Thanksgiving night showdown on November 27, 2025, the Bengals aim to break their recent pattern of losses in Baltimore.
The Bengals' travel schedule has drawn attention, as they seem to be frequent visitors for AFC North primetime games, which have typically favored the home team in recent seasons. Notably, during the previous year, Cincinnati had only one primetime home game—a 38-33 loss to the Washington Commanders on September 23—while participating in four road primetime contests. Their notable away games included a 17-7 victory against the New York Giants and subsequent defeats against the Ravens and the Los Angeles Chargers, along with a pivotal win over the Dallas Cowboys. As the current season unfolds, the Bengals are set to play three road primetime games, including matchups against Denver and Miami, alongside a home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This trend raises questions about the Bengals' scheduling, which may appear unbalanced. Nevertheless, the team is determined to move forward and re-establish themselves in the playoff picture after missing out for two consecutive years.
