Dak Prescott Makes Progress in Rehabilitation Following Hamstring Injury

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has reported positive developments in his rehabilitation process following a hamstring injury that prematurely concluded his 2024 season. Although he has not yet been cleared for contact, Prescott indicated that he is feeling good and participating in team activities. 'Pretty much can do it all. Feel good,' he stated, according to Moneyline’s Todd Archer. 'I think I'm just not cleared for contact, which we've got a while for that anyways. Just trying to stay that way.'
The quarterback noted that the early end to his season, which concluded in November, provided him with additional time for recovery. 'My offseason started way earlier, so that's really essentially why I'm ahead,' Prescott explained. He has been collaborating closely with the Cowboys' director of rehabilitation Britt Brown, the training staff, and his personal trainer, Luke Wilson, to expedite his progress.
Prescott faced a significant setback when he suffered a partial avulsion of his hamstring tendon during a Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, necessitating season-ending surgery. He wrapped up the season with a total of 1,978 passing yards, along with 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions over eight games. This performance was viewed as disappointing, especially in light of the four-year, $240 million contract he secured last offseason. Nonetheless, Prescott’s ongoing rehabilitation efforts suggest he is poised to lead the Cowboys into a bounce-back season following their 7-12 finish in 2024.
