Dak Prescott Continues Recovery from Hamstring Injury as Cowboys Prepare for Upcoming Season

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is progressing in his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury that cut his 2024 season short. Although he has not yet been cleared for contact, Prescott expressed his optimism about his recovery, stating, 'Pretty much can do it all. Feel good.' This update comes from an interview reported by Todd Archer of Moneyline.
Prescott noted that the early conclusion of his season in November has afforded him additional time to focus on his rehabilitation. 'My offseason started way earlier, so that's really essentially why I'm ahead,' he explained. He has been working closely with the team's director of rehabilitation, Britt Brown, the training staff, and his personal trainer, Luke Wilson, to ensure a successful recovery.
In Week 9 of the previous season, Prescott suffered a partial avulsion of his hamstring tendon during a loss to the Atlanta Falcons, which ultimately required season-ending surgery. Over eight games in the 2024 season, he tallied 1,978 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, a performance that fell short of expectations considering his four-year, $240 million contract signed the previous offseason. However, with a productive offseason focused on rehabilitation, Prescott appears to be on track to lead the Cowboys in a hopeful bounce-back season after the team finished with a 7-12 record.
