Dak Prescotts Progress in Recovery from Hamstring Injury

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is reportedly making significant progress in his rehabilitation following a hamstring injury that prematurely ended his 2024 season. While he has not yet been cleared for contact, Prescott expressed optimism about his recovery, stating, 'Pretty much can do it all. Feel good.' He emphasized that despite the lack of contact clearance, he remains engaged in team activities and is focused on maintaining his condition as he continues to heal.
The early end to Prescott’s season in November has provided him with a head start in his recovery process. He explained, 'My offseason started way earlier, so that's really essentially why I'm ahead.' Prescott's rehabilitation has included collaboration with the team's director of rehabilitation, Britt Brown, as well as the training staff and his personal trainer, Luke Wilson, indicating a comprehensive approach towards his recovery.
The injury, which was classified as a partial avulsion of the hamstring tendon, occurred during a Week 9 loss against the Atlanta Falcons and necessitated surgery that ultimately sidelined Prescott for the remainder of the season. In the eight games he played, Prescott recorded 1,978 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. This performance fell short of expectations, particularly following the four-year, $240 million contract he signed before last season. Nevertheless, Prescott's dedicated offseason work suggests he is positioning himself to lead the Cowboys in a rebound effort following their disappointing 7-12 record in 2024.
