Dak Prescott Making Progress in Hamstring Rehabilitation

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is currently making significant strides in his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury that prematurely ended his 2024 season. Although he has not yet been cleared for contact, Prescott expressed optimism regarding his recovery, stating, "Pretty much can do it all. Feel good." He acknowledged the ongoing process, noting, "Yeah, I think I'm just not cleared for contact, which we've got a while for that anyways. Yeah, I'm out there in the team activities, feel good. Just trying to stay that way."
The timeline of his injury, which concluded his season in November, has afforded him ample opportunity to focus on his recovery. Prescott elaborated, "My offseason started way earlier so that's really essentially why I'm ahead," attributing his progress to collaborative efforts with various professionals, including director of rehabilitation Britt Brown and personal trainer Luke Wilson.
In Week 9 of the previous season, Prescott suffered a partial avulsion of his hamstring tendon during a loss against the Atlanta Falcons, an injury that necessitated season-ending surgery. Despite finishing a challenging season with 1,978 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and eight interceptions over eight games, Prescott is poised for a comeback. His performance will be crucial as the Cowboys look to improve from their disappointing 7-12 record in 2024.
