Kevin Durants Former Oklahoma City Home Listed with Creative Pricing

In a unique marketing strategy to attract potential buyers, the Oklahoma City Thunder's real estate division has listed a townhome formerly owned by NBA star Kevin Durant at an eye-catching price of $35. This figure symbolizes Durant's jersey number during his tenure with the team. Despite the playful pricing, genuine offers reflecting the property's actual value, estimated at around $1 million, have surfaced since the listing was made public.
Durant, who was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in 2007 and played his rookie season with the franchise, designed the property himself. Following his departure from Oklahoma City after the 2015-16 season, the home was purchased by new owners who have now brought it back to market. According to Leasha Larkpor, managing broker for Thunder Team Realty, the original designers who worked on the home have expressed nostalgia upon seeing the property listed for sale. Larkpor noted, 'His designers actually came to the property since we've had it for sale like, 'Oh, my God, I picked all the colors here for him.'
The hope is that an admirer of Durant or the home itself will fall in love with the property, leading to meaningful discussions concerning offers. During his remarkable time with the Thunder, Durant was instrumental in the team's success, winning the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2014 and earning seven All-Star selections. He also led the Thunder to an NBA Finals appearance in 2012, solidifying his legacy within the franchise.
