Former Thunder Stars House Listed at Unique Price

In a creative attempt to attract attention to a notable listing, the Oklahoma City Thunder's real estate arm has priced a townhome that once belonged to former superstar Kevin Durant at an eye-catching figure of $35. This pricing choice is symbolic of Durant's jersey number during his tenure with the team. However, it is understood that offers reflecting the home's actual market value, estimated to be around $1 million, have already started coming in.
Durant, who played for the Thunder following the team's relocation from Seattle, originally designed the house himself before selling it after departing Oklahoma City. The property has recently been put back on the market by the current owners, who acquired it from Durant. Managing broker Leasha Larkpor of Thunder Team Realty noted that the home's original designers have visited the property and expressed excitement over their design choices still being appreciated. Larkpor remarked, 'We're hoping that a person will come fall in love with it, and then maybe we can talk numbers with them on placing an offer.'
Kevin Durant was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in 2007 and played his rookie season with the franchise before it relocated to Oklahoma City in 2008. He remained with the organization until the conclusion of the 2015-16 season. During his time with the Thunder, Durant was a standout player, winning the 2014 NBA Most Valuable Player award and earning selections to the All-Star team seven times. He was a key contributor in leading the Thunder to an NBA Finals appearance in 2012.
