Pittsburgh Pirates Honor Mac Miller with Bobblehead Night and Record Attendance

The Pittsburgh Pirates achieved a significant milestone during their recent game against the Chicago White Sox, drawing the largest home crowd of the season at PNC Park. This special event, dedicated to celebrating the late rapper Mac Miller, attracted an impressive attendance of 38,041 fans, according to reports from Moneyline.
As part of the tribute, the first 20,000 attendees received a commemorative Mac Miller bobblehead, which was designed in collaboration with Miller's family. Notably, the bobblehead features a playback of his song 'Knock Knock,' adding an element of nostalgia for fans. Many supporters arrived at the park as early as 8 a.m. for the 6:40 p.m. game, with some facing wait times of up to four hours to secure the collectible item.
The event was further enhanced by a special moment when Miller's mother, Karen Meyers, threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game commenced. In addition to the bobblehead giveaway, the Pirates provided a fan message wall, allowing attendees to leave notes in memory of and in tribute to Miller, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 26.
