Pittsburgh Pirates Honor Mac Miller with Bobblehead Night

The Pittsburgh Pirates recently hosted a special event to commemorate the legacy of the late rapper Mac Miller, drawing significant attention and a large crowd to PNC Park. Fans gathered in droves for the Pirates' matchup against the Chicago White Sox, with attendance reaching 38,041, marking it as the largest home crowd of the season.
As part of the celebration, the first 20,000 attendees received a limited edition bobblehead honoring Miller, who hailed from Pittsburgh. Enthusiastic fans began lining up as early as 8 a.m. for the game scheduled for 6:40 p.m., with reports of wait times extending up to four hours. The bobblehead, designed in collaboration with Miller's family, features a design that includes a nod to his song 'Knock Knock.'
In an additional tribute, Miller's mother, Karen Meyers, participated in the festivities by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. The team also established a fan message wall at the event, allowing attendees to express their memories and celebrate the impact Miller had on both the music scene and his hometown.
