Green Bay Packers Unveil Throwback Uniforms for 2025 Season

The Green Bay Packers recently unveiled their throwback uniforms, which the team will don during the upcoming 2025 season. Images and videos of the '1923 Classic' jerseys were shared on social media, providing fans with an exciting preview of the historic design. Accompanying these uniforms is a unique helmet that features a hand-painted design reminiscent of the leather headgear used by the franchise in its formative years.
The new navy blue jerseys are complemented by gold numbers, gold stripes, tan pants, and navy socks. This particular uniform design draws inspiration from what the Packers wore during the 1923 season, notably the first year the team operated as a publicly owned corporation. Under the guidance of legendary head coach Curly Lambeau, the Packers concluded that season with an impressive record of 7-2-1.
In recent seasons, the Packers have made efforts to celebrate their rich history through various uniform designs. From 2021 to 2024, the team sported uniforms honoring the 1950s, while jerseys paying tribute to the 1940s were featured from 2015 through 2019. The return of the leather helmet aesthetic marks a notable resurgence in 2025, as other teams, like Illinois, previously utilized a similar design in college football. As the Packers look to build on an 11-6 finish from the previous year, the team has bolstered its roster through significant free-agent signings, including guard Aaron Banks and cornerback Nate Hobbs, aiming to advance beyond the divisional round of the playoffs. The Packers are set to debut their new throwback jerseys at home during the 2025 season.
