Green Bay Packers Unveil 1923 Classic Throwback Uniforms for 2025 Season

The Green Bay Packers have unveiled their throwback uniforms, designated as the '1923 Classic,' which are set to debut during the 2025 season. Images and videos showcasing these historical jerseys were released on social media platforms, illustrating the team’s commitment to celebrating its rich legacy.
The meticulously designed uniform features navy blue jerseys adorned with gold numbers and gold stripes, paired with tan pants and navy socks. Accompanying this iconic look is a unique helmet designed to resemble the leather helmets worn by the franchise in its early years. The new uniform pays homage to the style worn during the 1923 season, which marked the team’s inaugural year as a publicly owned corporation. Under the guidance of legendary head coach Curly Lambeau, the Packers achieved a commendable 7-2-1 record that season.
This latest homage continues the Packers' tradition of honoring their past, following a series of throwback uniforms inspired by their 1950s era from 2021 to 2024, and 1940s looks from 2015 to 2019. The introduction of the leather helmet look distinguishes the Packers in the NFL, paralleling a similar design previously used by the University of Illinois in a throwback game against Michigan during the 2024 college football season. As the Packers aim to build on an 11-6 finish from the previous year, they have made significant roster enhancements, securing guard Aaron Banks with a four-year, $77 million deal, and cornerback Nate Hobbs with a four-year, $48 million contract. The team is poised to unveil their new throwback jerseys for the first time at home during the upcoming 2025 season.
