Von Millers Future Uncertain as Denver Broncos Line Up Strong Edge Rushing Group

Veteran free agent Von Miller has expressed his intention to play in the upcoming season, although it is highly unlikely that he will return to the Denver Broncos. During a recent media session, Miller stated, 'I haven't heard anything [from the Broncos].' He reflected on the team's current roster, noting the presence of two standout edge rushers, Jonathon Cooper and Nik Bonitto, who have emerged as key performers.
Miller acknowledged the impressive abilities of both Cooper and Bonitto, mentioning, 'They are incredible rushers, and the guys beneath them come in and produce sacks too.' The Broncos' edge rushing unit has achieved significant success, as Cooper recorded 10.5 sacks last season, while Bonitto led the squad with 13.5. In total, six different Broncos players registered five or more sacks in 2024, contributing to the team’s impressive league-leading total of 63 sacks.
Given the depth and talent on the Broncos' edge, a reunion with Miller—a player who spent parts of 11 seasons with the team—does not appear to be in the cards. However, for a contending team seeking experienced veteran depth, the eight-time Pro Bowler and two-time champion could present a valuable addition as training camp approaches.
