Von Miller Seeks New Opportunities Ahead of Upcoming NFL Season

Von Miller has expressed his intention to play in the upcoming NFL season, though it appears unlikely that his next destination will be the Denver Broncos. In recent statements to reporters, the veteran free agent indicated a lack of communication with the Broncos, stating, 'I haven't heard anything [from the Broncos].' He further analyzed the situation by highlighting the strengths of Denver's current roster.
Miller acknowledged that the Broncos have two exceptional edge rushers in Jonathon Cooper and Nik Bonitto, both of whom have made significant contributions to the team's defense. Last season, Cooper recorded an impressive 10.5 sacks, while Bonitto led the team with 13.5 sacks. In total, the Broncos had six players who registered five or more sacks, culminating in a league-leading total of 63 sacks. Given these statistics, Miller noted that a reunion with the Broncos may not be feasible, especially considering his preference to avoid special teams play as he approaches the 36-year mark.
Despite the challenges of returning to Denver, Miller remains open to the possibility of joining another contending team that could benefit from his experience and skill set. As training camp approaches, the eight-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion could serve as a valuable addition for franchises in search of veteran depth.
