Texas Rangers Introduce Special-Edition Jerseys for Jujutsu Kaisen Night

The Texas Rangers have unveiled a special-edition jersey for their upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen Night, scheduled for July 1 against the Baltimore Orioles. The announcement is expected to be well received by anime enthusiasts, as the event has already sold out, with fans who secured tickets set to receive the co-branded jersey upon their arrival at Globe Life Field.
In addition to Jujutsu Kaisen Night, the Rangers have planned a variety of Theme Nights for the remainder of the season. These events include exciting promotions such as AEW Wrestling Night, Hello Kitty Night, Barbie Night, Superman Day, and more, showcasing the team’s commitment to engaging diverse audiences beyond just baseball.
This collaboration marks one of several partnerships within Major League Baseball (MLB) aimed at bridging the gap between sports and anime. Earlier in the season, MLB announced an official collaboration with the popular series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Ufotable, which produced a short video featuring prominent players including Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani and Chicago Cubs pitcher Shota Imanaga. Furthermore, MLB has partnered with director Hiroshi Shimizu for a project titled Heroes of the Game, described as an anime journey featuring notable players such as Shohei Ohtani, Paul Skenes, Aaron Judge, and Juan Soto. As for the Rangers, the team currently holds a third-place position in the AL West with a record of 27-30, having faced challenges in recent performance, losing eight of their last ten games, including a 2-0 shutout against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. The Rangers will aim to reverse their fortunes as they host the St. Louis Cardinals (32-34) for the opening game of their three-game series on Friday.
