Scottie Scheffler Willing to Trade Major Title for Cowboys Super Bowl Victory

World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler has expressed a strong desire to see the Dallas Cowboys win another Super Bowl, indicating he would be willing to sacrifice one of his major championships for the honor. During a recent appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast, Scheffler shared, "I would trade one [major] for sure for a [Cowboys] Super Bowl."
Born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, but raised in Dallas, Scheffler has achieved significant success as a golfer, securing four major titles, including his recent victory at the 2025 Open Championship. At the age of 29, he is now aiming to add a U.S. Open title to his accolades, which would position him as the seventh player in history to complete a career Grand Slam. Despite his golfing aspirations, Scheffler’s passion for the Cowboys remains evident, as he is willing to exchange a personal achievement for the team’s success.
The Dallas Cowboys, who have won five Super Bowl titles, last claimed a championship in 1996, shortly before Scheffler's birth. Since then, the team has faced challenges in advancing deep into the playoffs, having failed to get past the divisional round in each of their 13 postseason appearances since their last Super Bowl victory. As they approach the 2025 season with renewed playoff ambitions—under the guidance of new head coach Brian Schottenheimer—the Cowboys are hoping for improved health from key players such as Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Micah Parsons, and Trevon Diggs, who collectively missed 21 games during the previous season. As Dallas aims to return to the postseason for the fourth time in five years, Scheffler continues to support his hometown team with enthusiasm.
