Rookies Embrace Team Colors Ahead of NFL Training Camp

Several incoming NFL rookies, including Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Jacksonville Jaguars two-way standout Travis Hunter, were seen wearing their team's uniforms on Saturday. Sanders and fellow Browns first-year quarterback Dillon Gabriel both showcased Cleveland's attire. Hunter was also photographed in his complete Jaguars uniform.
Among other notable rookies present were Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward and New York Giants signal-caller Jaxson Dart. Sanders was chosen by the Browns with the fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, being selected at No. 144 overall. Leading up to the draft, there had been speculation regarding his potential selection on Day 1, as he was projected to be the No. 20 pick according to Bleacher Report's final mock draft. Sanders concluded an impressive senior season at the University of Colorado, finishing with a completion rate of 74 percent, throwing for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He is expected to compete with Gabriel, Kenny Pickett, and Joe Flacco for the starting quarterback position in Cleveland's lineup come Week 1.
Hunter, who excelled alongside Sanders at Colorado, earned 2024 Heisman Trophy honors while displaying his versatility as both a cornerback and a wide receiver. The Jaguars notably traded up to select him with the second overall pick in the draft. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that Jacksonville intends to utilize the 22-year-old predominantly on offense while maintaining a minor role on defense in his rookie season. Having Hunter paired with 2024 breakout rookie wideout Brian Thomas Jr. is anticipated to enhance Trevor Lawrence's performance and the Jaguars' aerial attack as the team aims to recover from a challenging 4-13 finish in the previous season. As Sanders and Hunter prepare for their inaugural NFL training camp experiences, they were photographed in their full uniforms during the NFLPA Rookie Premiere.
