NFL Rookies Embrace New Beginnings in Team Uniforms

Several incoming NFL rookies, including Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Jacksonville Jaguars two-way standout Travis Hunter, were photographed in the full uniforms of their respective teams on Saturday. This event highlights the excitement surrounding these young athletes as they prepare to embark on their professional careers.
Sanders, who was drafted by the Browns in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the 144th overall pick, had been projected as a possible first-round pick prior to the draft. Notably, he was anticipated to be selected at No. 20 overall according to the final mock draft from Moneyline's NFL Scouting Department. His impressive senior season at Colorado saw him complete 74 percent of his passes for 4,134 yards, while throwing for 37 touchdowns against just 10 interceptions. As he joins the Browns, Sanders is expected to compete for the Week 1 starting quarterback position alongside Dillon Gabriel, Kenny Pickett, and Joe Flacco.
Travis Hunter, who shone alongside Sanders at the University of Colorado, finished the 2024 season with Heisman Trophy accolades while excelling at both cornerback and wide receiver. The Jaguars moved up in the draft to select Hunter with the second overall pick, signaling their intentions for his impactful role in the team's offensive and defensive schemes. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Jacksonville plans to utilize Hunter primarily on offense while allowing him a more limited role on defense during his rookie campaign. With Hunter joining breakout rookie wideout Brian Thomas Jr. in the lineup, the Jacksonville offense seeks to rejuvenate after a challenging 4-13 season. As both Sanders and Hunter prepare for their inaugural NFL training camps, their unveiling in team uniforms during the NFLPA Rookie Premiere marks an important milestone in their professional journeys.
