NFL 2025 Draft Class Reflects on Madden NFL 26 Ratings

Members of the NFL's 2025 draft class have shared a diverse range of opinions regarding their anticipated initial ratings in Madden NFL 26. Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty has expressed an expectation of an overall rating around 80. In contrast, Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton has set his sights higher, predicting an overall rating of 87. This sentiment appears to resonate with both Abdul Carter of the New York Giants and Jaxson Dart, as they also forecast ratings in a similar range. Meanwhile, Baltimore Ravens edge-rusher Mike Green has bold aspirations, aiming for a rating in the 90s.
For context, it is noteworthy that no rookie in Madden NFL 25 achieved a rating of 80 or above upon the game's initial release. Chargers offensive tackle Joe Alt and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. were the top-rated rookies at 79 overall, with five players sharing a rating of 78. This year, EA Sports is gradually unveiling player ratings throughout the week to generate excitement for the upcoming Madden release, with the most prominent rookies highlighted on Tuesday, ahead of a comprehensive reveal set for Friday.
As the release date approaches, both Jeanty and Carter are expected to be among the standout players in this promising group. Carter notably ranked second only to two-way star Travis Hunter of the Jacksonville Jaguars on Bleacher Report's final big board, while Jeanty secured the sixth position. The anticipation is building as these athletes await the announcement of their Madden ratings.
