LiAngelo Ball Set to Release Music Video for Tweaker'
LiAngelo Ball recently announced via social media that the music video for his song titled 'Tweaker' is scheduled for release at noon ET on Thursday. This news has attracted attention in both the music and sports communities.
The song 'Tweaker' has seen surprising success since its debut on the WorldstarHipHop YouTube channel, amassing over 13 million views. This traction has led to a significant record deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group, reportedly valued at up to $13 million, with $8 million guaranteed, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
At 26 years old, LiAngelo Ball is known as the younger brother of Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball and the older sibling of Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball. Unlike his brothers, LiAngelo went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft following a brief college career at UCLA and an overseas stint in Lithuania. Although he signed training camp contracts with the Detroit Pistons in 2020 and the Hornets in both 2021 and 2022, he never managed to become a mainstay in the NBA. His experience in the G League includes 31 games with the Greensboro Swarm from 2021 to 2023, where he averaged 4.4 points and 1.1 rebounds. In contrast to his basketball career, LiAngelo has found considerable success in the music industry, with 'Tweaker' currently ranking No. 41 on Spotify's Top 50 playlist and No. 38 on Billboard's Hot 100, surpassing the popularity of his brother Lonzo's previous music efforts.
