Green Bay Packers Unveil 2025 Throwback Uniforms

The Green Bay Packers have announced the unveiling of their throwback uniforms, which they will wear during the upcoming 2025 NFL season. On Thursday, the team shared images and videos of the '1923 Classic' jerseys through various social media platforms.
Accompanying the uniforms is a uniquely designed helmet, which features a hand-painted aesthetic that replicates the leather helmets used by Green Bay during its formative years as a professional franchise. The navy blue jerseys are adorned with gold numbers and stripes, paired with tan pants and navy socks. This design draws inspiration from the team's attire during the 1923 season, marking its initial year as a publicly owned corporation, during which the Packers achieved a record of 7-2-1 under the guidance of legendary coach Curly Lambeau.
Over the years, the Packers have celebrated their storied history by wearing various retro uniforms, including those honoring the 1950s from 2021 to 2024 and 1940s styles from 2015 to 2019. The reintroduction of the leather helmet motif is noteworthy, especially considering that a similar design was previously employed by the University of Illinois during a 2024 college football matchup against Michigan. As they prepare for the 2025 season, the Packers are looking to build on their recent 11-6 finish. Under the leadership of quarterback Jordan Love, the team's performance has steadily improved, although they have yet to transcend the divisional round of the playoffs. Major developments in free agency include the acquisition of guard Aaron Banks on a four-year contract worth $77 million and cornerback Nate Hobbs with a four-year deal totaling $48 million. The franchise is set to debut its new throwback jerseys at home during the 2025 season.
