Von Millers Future: A Potential Exit from Denver

Von Miller has plans to play during the upcoming NFL season, but it appears unlikely that he will do so with the Denver Broncos. In a recent interaction with reporters, the veteran free agent expressed, 'I haven't heard anything [from the Broncos].' He elaborated that given the current roster situation, returning to the Broncos may not be the most sensible option for him at this stage in his career.
Miller noted the impressive talent of the Broncos' current edge rushers. He highlighted Jonathon Cooper and Nik Bonitto as significant contributors, stating, 'They’ve got two really, really good rushers that are the best in the league.' last season, Cooper made a notable impact with 10.5 sacks, while Bonitto led the team with an impressive total of 13.5 sacks. Overall, the Broncos showcased a strong defensive presence, as six different players recorded five or more sacks in the previous season, contributing to the team's league-leading total of 63 sacks.
Given the depth and performance of the current edge rushers, it seems a reunion with Miller—who spent a celebrated 11 seasons with the organization—may not align with the team's strategic direction. However, for a contending team seeking experienced veteran depth as training camps approach, the eight-time Pro Bowler and two-time champion could emerge as a valuable addition.
