Tee Higgins Aims for a Healthy Season with the Bengals

Tee Higgins experienced a challenging year in 2024 as injuries affected his performance and availability, preventing him from reaching what could have been an All-Pro caliber season. This situation marks the second consecutive season in which Higgins missed five games due to injuries, raising concerns about his longevity on the field.
Having secured an extension with the Cincinnati Bengals during the offseason, Higgins is determined to avoid the setbacks of previous years. In comments to the media, he expressed optimism about his health going forward. "I plan on staying healthy," Higgins stated. "Let's not say 'if.' Let's not do that. It's too early to be doing that. I plan on it. When I do, [the offense] definitely could be deadly."
In the 2023 season, Higgins faced challenges as he missed one game due to a rib injury and four games because of a hamstring issue. The previous season was similarly impacted as he dealt with a hamstring injury that limited him to just 12 games. Despite these setbacks, Higgins still managed to finish the season with 911 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, establishing himself as an elite second option alongside Ja'Marr Chase, who delivered an impressive performance with 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns. With concerns persisting regarding the defense, the dynamic trio of Higgins, Chase, and quarterback Joe Burrow positions the Bengals as potential contenders for the playoffs after missing postseason action for the last two years. The team's success is significantly dependent on Higgins' capacity to remain healthy throughout the upcoming season.
