EA Sports Unveils First Look at Madden NFL 26 Gameplay

EA Sports has officially revealed the first gameplay still shot for the upcoming Madden NFL 26 video game. Shared via a post on X, the image features Saquon Barkley, the cover athlete for Madden 26 and standout running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, navigating through defenders from the Green Bay Packers.
On Monday, Barkley was announced as the cover athlete following a remarkable season, during which he rushed for 2,005 yards and scored 13 touchdowns in his inaugural year with the Eagles. His performance not only placed him in the exclusive 2,000-yard club, but he also finished third in the NFL MVP voting and received the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award, contributing significantly to the Eagles' victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Madden 26 is set to release on August 14; however, enthusiasts who pre-order the Deluxe Edition or the MVP Bundle will have the opportunity to start playing three days earlier, beginning on August 11. The MVP Bundle is particularly notable, as it allows players to acquire both Madden NFL 26 and College Football 26, emphasizing the interconnectivity between the two games. A recent trailer for the MVP Bundle indicates that players can create an athlete in the Road to Glory mode in College Football 26 and seamlessly import that athlete into Madden 26 for use in Superstar Mode. As more details about gameplay and features emerge, fans anticipate further clarity with the release of the official trailer on YouTube.
