Von Miller Discusses Future and Potential Departure from Denver Broncos

Veteran linebacker Von Miller has stated his intention to continue playing in the upcoming NFL season, though it appears unlikely that he will do so with the Denver Broncos. During a recent press conference, Miller expressed that he has yet to receive any communication from the Broncos regarding a potential reunion.
'If you look at it, this year, it really doesn’t make sense,' Miller remarked, referencing the current depth at the edge rusher position for the Broncos. He acknowledged the impressive performances of current Denver rushers Jonathon Cooper and Nik Bonitto, both of whom have solidified their standing as top performers in the league. Cooper recorded 10.5 sacks last season, while Bonitto led the team with 13.5 sacks. The Broncos had a total of six players achieve five or more sacks in the previous season, contributing to a league-leading total of 63 sacks.
Given this depth, Miller, who spent 11 seasons with the Broncos, concluded that a return to the team this year seems improbable. He further noted that at 36 years old, he is not inclined to participate in special teams, which limits his options. However, he left the door open for future possibilities, stating, 'Maybe next year, we'll see what happens.' As training camp approaches, Miller could emerge as a valuable addition for a contending team seeking veteran depth.
