Texas Rangers Unveil Special-Edition Jujutsu Kaisen Jerseys for Theme Night

The Texas Rangers recently announced the unveiling of special-edition jerseys for their Jujutsu Kaisen Night, scheduled for July 1 against the Baltimore Orioles. The anticipation surrounding this event has led to a quick sell-out of tickets, reflecting the excitement among anime fans and baseball enthusiasts.
Fans who secured their tickets for the event will receive the co-branded jersey upon their arrival at Globe Life Field. In addition to Jujutsu Kaisen Night, the Rangers have planned a diverse array of Theme Nights for the remainder of the season. These events will include AEW Wrestling Night, Hello Kitty Night, Barbie Night, Superman Day, and others, aimed at enhancing the ballpark experience for attendees.
This collaboration marks a continuation of Major League Baseball's engagement with anime, following earlier partnerships announced this year. The league had revealed an official collaboration with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Ufotable, which produced a short video featuring prominent players such as Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Shohei Ohtani and Chicago Cubs pitcher Shota Imanaga. Furthermore, MLB launched a partnership with director Hiroshi Shimizu for the Heroes of the Game anime project, showcasing players like Shohei Ohtani, Paul Skenes, Aaron Judge, and Juan Soto as part of an anime narrative. As the Rangers navigate through their season, currently sitting third in the AL West with a record of 27-30, they will look to regain momentum following a series of losses, including a 2-0 setback against the Toronto Blue Jays. Texas is set to host the St. Louis Cardinals, who hold a record of 32-34, in the opener of their three-game series on Friday.
