Texas Rangers Reveal Special-Edition Jerseys for Jujutsu Kaisen Night

The Texas Rangers recently announced a special delight for anime enthusiasts with the unveiling of their special-edition jerseys for Jujutsu Kaisen Night, set to take place on July 1 against the Baltimore Orioles. This unique event has proven to be extremely popular, as tickets for the night are already sold out. Fans who successfully secured their tickets will receive the co-branded jersey upon their arrival at Globe Life Field, adding a special touch to their game experience.
The Rangers have planned several Theme Nights for the remainder of the season, including various collaborative events such as AEW Wrestling Night, Hello Kitty Night, Barbie Night, and Superman Day among others. This initiative is not the first anime collaboration within Major League Baseball; earlier in the year, the league announced an official partnership with the popular series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, collaborating with Ufotable to produce a short video featuring prominent players like Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani and Chicago Cubs pitcher Shota Imanaga.
In addition to this, MLB has initiated a partnership with renowned director Hiroshi Shimizu for a unique project titled Heroes of the Game. This anime endeavor is characterized as an 'anime journey' featuring elite players including Shohei Ohtani, Paul Skenes, Aaron Judge, and Juan Soto. Currently, the Texas Rangers hold a record of 27-30, placing them third in the AL West standings. The team has faced challenges recently, with eight losses in their last ten games, including a 2-0 shutout loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. As they strive for improvement, the Rangers will look to regain their momentum when they host the St. Louis Cardinals, who currently sit at 32-34, for the opening game of a three-game series on Friday.
