NFL Rookies Showcase Team Uniforms at NFLPA Rookie Premiere

Several incoming NFL rookies, including Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Jacksonville Jaguars standout Travis Hunter, were photographed in their respective team uniforms on Saturday. Sanders, along with fellow Browns rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel, proudly donned the Cleveland colors, while Hunter showcased his complete Jaguars ensemble. The event also featured other notable rookies such as Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward and New York Giants signal-caller Jaxson Dart, highlighting the excitement surrounding the new class of players entering the league.
Shedeur Sanders, who was selected by the Browns in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the 144th overall pick, was initially projected to go much earlier. Prior to the draft, he was considered a possible Day 1 pick, with the Bleacher Report NFL Scouting Department predicting he could be selected 20th overall. He concluded an impressive senior season at the University of Colorado, completing 74 percent of his passes for 4,134 yards and throwing 37 touchdowns against 10 interceptions. In Cleveland, he is expected to compete for the Week 1 starting position alongside Gabriel, Kenny Pickett, and Joe Flacco.
Travis Hunter, who garnered significant attention while playing alongside Sanders at Colorado, earned 2024 Heisman Trophy honors due to his exceptional performance. He displayed his versatility by excelling at both cornerback and wide receiver. The Jaguars made a strategic move to trade up and select Hunter with the second overall pick in the draft. Reports from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler indicate that Jacksonville plans to utilize Hunter primarily on offense while also incorporating him on defense throughout his rookie season. His pairing with the breakout rookie wideout Brian Thomas Jr. may significantly enhance Trevor Lawrence's passing attack as the Jaguars aim to improve upon last season’s 4-13 record. As Sanders and Hunter gear up for their first NFL training camps, the photograph session served as a celebration of their transition into professional football.
