Minnesota Wild Unveils Special 25th Anniversary Jerseys for Upcoming NHL Season

Celebrating 25 Years of Hockey in Minnesota
As the Minnesota Wild gears up for its 25th season in the NHL, the franchise is marking the occasion with a fresh jersey design that pays homage to its rich history. The updated look was unveiled on the lead-up to the 2025-26 season and will be worn during select games throughout the year.
A Legacy of Hockey
Since its establishment in 1997 after the North Stars' move to Dallas, the Wild has become a staple of Minnesota sports culture. The team debuted on October 6, 2000, with a loss against the Anaheim Ducks, but has experienced significant success since then, qualifying for the postseason 14 times in its first 24 years, including a memorable run to the Western Conference Finals in the 2002-03 season.
Special Games and Fan Engagement
To celebrate this milestone anniversary, the Wild has planned four special games where the new jerseys will be showcased. Fans are encouraged to participate in a “white out” by wearing white to the games against the Winnipeg Jets on October 28, Nashville Predators on November 4, Colorado Avalanche on December 21, and Florida Panthers on January 24. Additionally, fans can look forward to purchasing a commemorative book about the franchise, penned by Bob Showers, starting October 11.
A Nod to the Past
The anniversary jerseys feature elements reminiscent of the original designs from the team’s inaugural season, including the classic number set, a wordmark on the shoulder patch, and enhanced metallic gold striping. The Wild will kick off the 2025-26 regular season against the St. Louis Blues on October 9, with their first home game following on October 11 against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
