Giants Hand the Reins to Rookie Jaxson Dart as Starting QB Against Chargers

Giants Make Bold Move at Quarterback Position
The New York Giants are shaking things up in their lineup as they prepare to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart will be stepping in as the team's new starter, replacing the struggling veteran Russell Wilson.
This decision comes after a challenging start to the season for the Giants, who currently sit at 0-3, with Wilson throwing for 778 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions in the first three games. Notably, Wilson had a rough outing against the Kansas City Chiefs, logging just 160 yards with two interceptions.
Head Coach's Decision
After the loss to Kansas City, head coach Brian Daboll indicated that the team would be evaluating their options at quarterback, leaving the door open for changes. Ultimately, the decision was made to give Dart a shot under center as the Giants look to turn their season around.
Rookie Background
Jaxson Dart was selected by the Giants with the 21st overall pick following an impressive collegiate career at Ole Miss. In his final season with the Rebels, Dart showcased his prowess by throwing for 4,279 yards and 29 touchdowns, while only throwing six interceptions.
During the preseason, Dart competed fiercely for the starting job, completing 32 of 47 passes for 372 yards and three touchdowns across three games. Although he has had limited playtime this season, Dart is now poised to take full command of the offense and demonstrate his skills on the field.
