Seattle Mariners' Playoff Push Could Delay Seahawks' Home Games

Mariners' Postseason Impact on Seahawks' Game Schedule
The Seattle Mariners' remarkable run to the 2025 MLB postseason is raising questions about potential scheduling conflicts with the Seattle Seahawks' home games. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, there is a possibility that the Seahawks might have to adjust kickoff times for at least one, potentially two, of their upcoming home games due to overlapping dates with Mariners playoff contests.
The Mariners recently secured the American League West title and are set to host an AL Division Series matchup. The specifics of the Mariners' postseason schedule are still in the works, but there’s a strong chance that their home games will coincide with key Seahawks games.
In particular, the Seahawks are slated to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on October 5 at 4:05 p.m. ET, the same day the Mariners are scheduled to play Game 2 of the ALDS. Additionally, the Seahawks will welcome the Houston Texans on October 20, when the Mariners could potentially be playing in a vital Game 7 of the AL Championship Series.
Given the setup of the surrounding infrastructure between T-Mobile Park, home to the Mariners, and Lumen Field, where the Seahawks play, officials are considering adjusting kickoff times to avoid congestion. If the games are set to happen simultaneously, Schefter notes that the Seahawks' kickoff could shift anywhere from 90 to 150 minutes later.
As the Seahawks look to build on their strong 3-1 record this season, the uncertainty surrounding their home schedule could present new challenges as they navigate through a pivotal point in the season.
