Cleveland Browns Unveil New Alternate Helmet: The Alpha Dawg'

The Cleveland Browns have officially introduced their new alternate helmet, a development that marks a notable moment in the franchise's history. The unveiling was accompanied by a promotional video featuring the message, 'a new look up top, molded by hardened toughness.' This release comes after a well-crafted buildup, including a hype video and collaborations with popular media outlets leading up to the reveal.
The alternate helmet, dubbed 'Alpha Dawg,' boasts a matte all-brown shell, complemented by two orange stripes and an all-brown facemask, representing the first time the franchise will don a brown helmet. This helmet will be featured in three home games during the 2023 season: against the Green Bay Packers on September 21, the Miami Dolphins on October 19, and the Tennessee Titans on December 7. Notably, this new addition brings the total number of helmets in use to three for the Browns, with the white helmet serving as another alternate option available for play.
Another aspect of the helmet's launch involved a large circular object, draped in a Browns tarp, that generated speculation and excitement as it floated on a raft in nearby waters. The unveiling coincided with the opening of the training camp, heightening anticipation among fans and analysts alike. As the Browns prepare for their season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals—a challenging matchup featuring elite players such as Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase—the focus also shifts to who will be under center given Deshaun Watson's injury. The competition includes veteran Joe Flacco and rookies Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders, adding further intrigue to the team's strategy moving forward.
