Bill Belichick Steps Back from ManningCast to Lead UNC Football

Bill Belichick will shift his focus to his new role as head coach of the University of North Carolina football team, resulting in his absence from the Manning brothers' 'ManningCast' during the current NFL season. This transition was confirmed by Peyton Manning during an interview with 97.1 The Fan at the 2025 Memorial Tournament celebrity Pro-Am, where he remarked on Belichick's busy schedule in college football.
Manning noted, 'Obviously, seems busy right now coaching college football, so he won't be back this year,' addressing Belichick's previous role as a regular guest on the alternate broadcast of ESPN's Monday Night Football. The former New England Patriots head coach had participated in the show through the conclusion of the 2023 NFL season before embarking on his debut season at UNC this fall.
Peyton Manning expressed that Belichick would be a challenging guest to replace, stating, 'He'll be hard to replace. I thought his insight was great.' Moving forward, the Manning brothers plan to rotate guests, incorporating coaches, players, along with actors and musicians who share a passion for football. Since launching in 2021, 'ManningCast' has been a unique addition to Monday Night Football, and the brothers are set to host their first game of the 2025 NFL season when the Minnesota Vikings face the Chicago Bears on September 8, following Belichick's inaugural game at UNC against TCU.
