Bill Belichick Steps Away from ManningCast to Focus on UNC Football

Bill Belichick will be shifting his focus to his new role as head coach of the University of North Carolina (UNC) football team this NFL season, resulting in his absence from the 'ManningCast' on ESPN's Monday Night Football. Peyton Manning confirmed Belichick's decision to step away from his regular appearances on the alternate broadcast during an interview with 97.1 The Fan at the 2025 Memorial Tournament celebrity Pro-Am.
In the interview, Manning remarked, 'Obviously, [Belichick] seems busy right now coaching college football, so he won't be back this year.' Belichick, who was a regular guest on the Manning brothers' broadcast between his final season with the New England Patriots in 2023 and his inaugural collegiate season at UNC this fall, will be notably missed. Manning expressed appreciation for Belichick’s contributions, stating, 'He'll be hard to replace. I thought his insight was great.'
As the Manning brothers prepare for the first Monday night game of the 2025 NFL season, where the Minnesota Vikings will visit the Chicago Bears on September 8, they will likely return to rotating guest appearances, featuring a mix of coaches, players, actors, and musicians. Manning indicated that the common criterion for selection as a guest is a genuine love for football. This marks another season of the Manning brothers' alternate broadcasts, which commenced in 2021.
