Bill Belichick Steps Away from ManningCast for UNC Football

Bill Belichick is transitioning into a new chapter as the head coach of the University of North Carolina (UNC) football team, which will prevent him from making regular appearances on Peyton and Eli Manning's popular 'ManningCast' during the NFL season. This news was confirmed by Peyton Manning during an interview on 97.1 The Fan while attending the 2025 Memorial Tournament celebrity Pro-Am.
During the interview, Manning stated, 'Obviously, seems busy right now coaching college football, so he won't be back this year,' emphasizing Belichick's commitments to his new role. Belichick had previously been a weekly contributor on the ManningCast following the conclusion of his final season with the New England Patriots in 2023. Manning acknowledged Belichick's contributions to the program, stating, 'He'll be hard to replace,' and praised the coach's insightful commentary.
The Manning brothers have been entertaining football fans with their alternate broadcasts for Monday Night Football since 2021. As they prepare for the upcoming NFL season, the ManningCast plans to revert to a rotating guest format featuring a mix of coaches, players, actors, and musicians, with Manning noting that a shared passion for football will remain a crucial criterion for future guests. The first Monday night game of the 2025 NFL season is slated for September 8, when the Minnesota Vikings will face the Chicago Bears, just one week after Belichick leads UNC in their debut game against TCU.
