Bill Belichick Steps Away from ManningCast' for College Football Coaching

Bill Belichick will be turning his attention to his new role as head coach of the University of North Carolina football team, which will prevent him from making regular appearances on Peyton and Eli Manning's popular alternate broadcast, 'ManningCast,' during this NFL season. Peyton Manning confirmed Belichick's decision to step away from the show in an interview with 97.1 The Fan at the Memorial Tournament celebrity Pro-Am event.
During the interview, Manning stated, 'Obviously, seems busy right now coaching college football, so he won't be back this year,' highlighting Belichick's commitment to his new position. Belichick had served as a weekly guest on the Manning brothers' show following his final NFL season with the New England Patriots and prior to his inaugural college season with UNC this fall. Manning acknowledged Belichick's contributions, stating, 'He'll be hard to replace,' and praised his insights during their broadcasts.
Looking ahead, Manning indicated that the show would likely return to featuring a rotation of guests, including coaches and players, as well as personalities from the entertainment industry. He noted, 'The common criteria to be a guest is you've got to love football.' The Manning brothers have been hosting the 'ManningCast' for Monday Night Football since its inception in 2021, and they are now preparing for the first Monday night game of the 2025 NFL season, which will see the Minnesota Vikings face off against the Chicago Bears on September 8. This game will occur just one week after Belichick leads the Tar Heels in their opening matchup against TCU.
