Bill Belichick Steps Away from ManningCast as He Takes on UNC Football

Bill Belichick, the renowned head coach of the New England Patriots, will be shifting his focus to his new role as head coach of the University of North Carolina football team this NFL season. This change signifies his departure from the alternate broadcast of ESPN's Monday Night Football, commonly known as 'ManningCast,' which is hosted by former NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning.
Peyton Manning confirmed Belichick's absence from the broadcast during an interview with 97.1 The Fan, occurring at the 2025 Memorial Tournament celebrity Pro-Am. In discussing this transition, Manning remarked, 'Obviously, seems busy right now coaching college football, so he won't be back this year.' Belichick had been a regular guest on the Manning brothers' show between his final campaign with the Patriots in 2023 and the start of his college coaching career with UNC this fall.
Manning expressed that Belichick's contributions would be missed, stating, 'He'll be hard to replace. I thought his insight was great.' The Manning brothers plan to revert to a rotation of guests, which will include coaches, players, as well as actors and musicians, highlighting that the primary criterion for guest selection remains an evident passion for football. The Manning brothers have hosted this alternate broadcast since 2021 and are now gearing up for the inaugural Monday night matchup of the 2025 NFL season, featuring the Minnesota Vikings against the Chicago Bears on September 8, one week after Belichick's first game at UNC against TCU.
