Bill Belichick Focuses on New Role as UNC Football Head Coach

Bill Belichick will not be appearing on Peyton and Eli Manning's "ManningCast" during the 2025 NFL season as he shifts his focus to his new position as head coach of the University of North Carolina's football team. Peyton Manning confirmed this change in an interview with 97.1 The Fan, stating that Belichick's commitment to college football will prevent him from returning to the alternate broadcast for ESPN's Monday Night Football this year.
Manning shared his insights about Belichick's absence, mentioning, "Obviously, seems busy right now coaching college football, so he won't be back this year." Belichick had been a regular guest on the Manning's show between his final season with the New England Patriots in 2023 and his first season with the Tar Heels this fall. Regarding Belichick's departure, Manning remarked, "He'll be hard to replace. I thought his insight was great."
As the Manning brothers prepare for the opening Monday night game of the 2025 NFL season, featuring the Minnesota Vikings visiting the Chicago Bears on September 8, they plan to rotate guests for the show. Manning expressed his intention to include coaches, players, actors, and musicians, emphasizing, "The common criteria to be a guest is you've got to love football."
