The Little League Baseball World Series has been heating up in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, as two winner's bracket games and two elimination contests unfolded on Wednesday. This pivotal day saw the victors move on to the coveted United States and International Finals, while those in the elimination rounds fought for survival, ensuring they would have at least one more game in Williamsport.
Asia-Pacific Shines Against Latin America
Asia-Pacific (Taipei) emerged as the first team to secure a spot in the International final, defeating Latin America (Barquisimeto, Venezuela) with a score of 7-3. The game showcased Asia-Pacific's strategic approach at the plate, highlighted by their ability to draw eight walks. In a quick start, the team earned two runs in the first inning thanks to bases-loaded walks, establishing a 3-0 lead by the fourth inning with another bases-loaded walk.
The offensive display continued into the fifth inning, with Tsai Yu-Ge contributing an RBI single to extend the lead to 4-0. Following this, Chen Qi-Sheng hit a bases-clearing double, bringing the score to 7-0.
