Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Shines as Blue Jays Even World Series Against Dodgers

Guerrero's Heroics Lead Blue Jays to Victory
On Tuesday night, the Toronto Blue Jays showcased their resilience in Game 4 of the 2025 World Series, triumphing over the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 6-2 scoreline, thanks in large part to the stellar performance of Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Guerrero's impactful night at the plate included a notable 2-for-4 outing with a walk, highlighted by a pivotal go-ahead home run off superstar pitcher Shohei Ohtani in the third inning. This two-run blast marked Guerrero's seventh postseason homer, establishing a new record for the most in Blue Jays history, a feat that had fans and pundits alike buzzing with excitement.
The game commenced with the Dodgers taking an early lead in the second inning, as Kiké Hernández delivered a sacrifice fly to put Los Angeles ahead 1-0. However, Guerrero's big hit shifted the momentum, propelling Toronto into the lead and setting the stage for a strong showing.
After a scoreless battle for several innings, the Blue Jays began to expand their lead in the seventh. It all kicked off with an RBI single from Andrés Giménez, followed by a groundout from Ty France that added another run to the scoreboard. The onslaught didn’t stop there, with Bo Bichette and Addison Barger each contributing RBI singles, pushing Toronto’s advantage to 6-1.
Despite a late comeback attempt from the Dodgers, who loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the ninth, only one run managed to cross home plate before Louis Varland sealed the victory for the Blue Jays. Starting pitcher Shane Bieber put in an impressive performance, allowing only four hits and one earned run over 5.1 innings while achieving three strikeouts.
With this crucial win, the Toronto Blue Jays have leveled the World Series at two games apiece, ensuring that the series will return to Rogers Centre for at least Game 6.
