Tyronn Lue Dodges LeBron James Workout Questions Amid Trade Speculation

Tyronn Lue Refuses to Comment on LeBron's Workout Site
During a recent conversation with Shannon Sharpe, Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue was tight-lipped about LeBron James' summer workout sessions that took place at the Honey Training Center, a facility previously used by the Clippers. When pressed for comments, Lue stated, "I don't even know if I can speak on that. I can't say nothing about that," refraining from creating more headlines.
LeBron James, still a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, stirred excitement in July when he shared a photo of himself exercising in front of a logo belonging to the Clippers' former training home. Although the images sparked discussion, Sports Illustrated's Dan Lyons highlighted that the workout location was acquired by Klutch Sports Group, the agency representing James. As the Clippers have since relocated to a new facility, it's clear that James was training at a site connected to his representation.
Additionally, the offseason saw James again making headlines after he shared a picture from the Cleveland Cavaliers' facility, responding with, "I live here still and train every summer." These interactions come amid a quieter period for trade speculation regarding James, as the 2025-26 season approaches.
At one point this summer, discussions about the Lakers potentially trading James did not seem far-fetched, especially with Luka Dončić positioned to become the future face of the franchise. Comments made by James' agent, Rich Paul, to ESPN's Shams Charania further fueled speculation. "LeBron wants to compete for a championship," Paul emphasized. "He knows the Lakers are building for the future. He values a realistic chance of winning it all, and we want to evaluate what's best for LeBron at this stage in his life and career. He wants to make every season he has left count, and the Lakers understand that, are supportive and want what's best for him."
With these factors in play, it was only natural for James' training photos to gain attention, but Lue strategically decided to stay out of the speculation.
