This new look draws inspiration from the iconic court used during the 2000-01 season, a year when Allen Iverson captured the MVP award and led the team to the NBA Finals.

This nostalgic update coincides with circulating rumors that the Sixers may also be bringing back their black jerseys from that memorable era. The excitement was further fueled by the recent unveiling of the 76ers' 2025-26 schedule, which featured an engaging video highlighting current players alongside notable stars from the 2000-01 roster.

A Season to Forget

The motivation behind these nostalgic changes is clear, as the 76ers look to erase the bitter taste left from a lackluster previous season. Hopes were high after the team signed Paul George in free agency to join stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. However, their plans for a formidable new big three were shattered early on. Embiid struggled with knee issues, missing the first nine games of the season, compounded by a suspension for an altercation with the media.

Throughout a challenging season, Embiid played just 19 games, averaging 23.8 points and 8.2 rebounds. Meanwhile, George and Maxey were also plagued by injuries, missing a combined total of 71 games.
