Tyrese Haliburton Joins Elite Company in Upcoming Netflix Series
Indianapolis, IN - Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton is set to make waves off the court with his appearance in the highly-anticipated second season of Netflix's Starting 5, premiering on October 16. Haliburton will be joined by basketball legends Kevin Durant, Jaylen Brown, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and James Harden from the Los Angeles Clippers.
In a preview of the new season, Haliburton reflects on a tumultuous year that saw its share of highs and lows. "The year for me started very low. There was a lot of high highs, and then obviously the year didn't end the way that me, or any of our group, wanted it to," Haliburton shared. Despite the challenges, he emphasizes the beauty in the journey.
The teaser showcases an emotional moment where Haliburton reacts to remarks from Pacers icon Reggie Miller, who praised his performance during the intense 2025 NBA Finals. During Game 7, Haliburton suffered an Achilles injury that will keep him sidelined for the entire 2025-26 season.
Miller spoke passionately about Haliburton's determination, stating, "There will never, ever be a question of a guy's heart, will, determination, his game. No one will ever second guess any decision that he ever makes again. He risked it all for a franchise, for a state, for an organization." Haliburton appeared visibly moved by this tribute, highlighting the significance of Miller's words, saying, "There's not many people that can say things to make me feel this way. So, that just shows how what he means to me and what this place means to me."
The anticipation for Starting 5 Season 2 is palpable, following the success of the first season which featured stars like LeBron James, Jimmy Butler, Jayson Tatum, Domantas Sabonis, and Anthony Edwards. Fans are eager to see how these narratives unfold in this new installment.
