Shedeur Sanders Debuts Cleveland Browns Uniform at NFLPA Rookie Premiere

Shedeur Sanders showcased his full Cleveland Browns uniform for the first time during the NFLPA Rookie Premiere. The event, which featured 42 rookies from the 2025 NFL Draft, was held from May 14-17 in Los Angeles. The NFL shared an image of Sanders in his No. 12 jersey on social media, marking a significant moment for the young player as he transitions into the professional ranks.
During his collegiate career at Colorado, Sanders wore No. 2. Notably, his former teammate and Heisman Trophy winner, Travis Hunter, donned the No. 12 jersey in college and will now carry that number with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In an interview shared by the Browns, Andrew Siciliano pointed out the symbolic change in Sanders' jersey number, contrasting it with the number worn by his father, Deion Sanders, during his time with the Dallas Cowboys. Sanders humorously acknowledged the significance of the number switch, stating, 'You get the hint. You get the hint.'
At the Rookie Premiere, which is co-hosted by NFL Players Inc. and the NFL Players Association, Sanders and Hunter reunited, highlighting their enduring friendship. Also in attendance was Cam Ward, the top pick of the 2025 draft, along with other notable selections such as Abdul Carter, Jaxson Dart, and Ashton Jeanty. The NFLPA emphasized that the event aims to introduce these rising stars to the commercial side of professional football, preparing them for future endorsement opportunities and promoting financial empowerment. Sanders was selected by the Browns in the fifth round of the draft after an unexpected fall from the first two days. He recently completed rookie minicamp alongside third-round pick Dillon Gabriel, who will wear No. 5 in his rookie season. Both players are gearing up to compete against veteran quarterbacks Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett as they prepare for the forthcoming season, with competition set to intensify during the OTA offseason workouts beginning on May 27.
