Seth Curry Joins Warriors in Exciting Sibling Reunion with Stephen Curry

Seth Curry Teams Up with Brother Stephen Curry at the Warriors
Seth Curry is gearing up for a new chapter in his NBA career as he signs a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors, allowing him to play alongside his brother, Stephen Curry. This surprising move excludes a potential return to the Charlotte Hornets, a team that previously held a special place in Seth’s heart due to his upbringing in Charlotte and his father Dell's decade-long tenure with the team.
Initially expressing his desire to return home, Seth Curry spoke candidly during the free agency discussions, stating, "I feel like I have a purpose on this team. So, I would love to come back." Despite his enthusiasm, the Hornets opted for a different direction, trading him before the 2023-24 season in a deal with the Dallas Mavericks.
Seth's journey through the NBA has been extensive, showcasing his talents across numerous teams including the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Philadelphia 76ers. While he might not match the scoring prowess of his brother, Stephen, Seth has consistently demonstrated his shooting skills, averaging double-digit points in various seasons, with a notable 15.0 points per game in the 2021-22 season.
In the 2023-24 season, Curry played a more supportive role with the Hornets, averaging 6.5 points in 15.6 minutes while maintaining an impressive shooting percentage of 45.6% from beyond the arc. However, the Hornets faced a tough season plagued by injuries and lackluster performance, ultimately deciding to focus on rebuilding rather than retaining veteran players like Curry.
Now, with the Warriors, Seth brings his rich experience and outside shooting capabilities to a veteran squad eager for another championship. Playing alongside his brother means that defenses will be stretched thin, potentially allowing Seth to capitalize on open looks as opponents focus on Stephen. With veterans like Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green, Curry’s addition fits seamlessly into a win-now environment where he will aim to finally earn that elusive championship ring.
